Hi, you seem to be new here, I suggest by checking our guide to new readers New to Looking to Business or Join Our Free Email Course. Thanks for visiting!
If you go out onto the net and start looking for books on personal development, success and motivation you are bound to find hundreds if not thousands of books.
I have over the last few years read dozens and dozens of these books and whilst many are very, very good. Some are just not at the same level.
The book I want to discuss today is Goals! By Brian Tracy.
What’s the book is about
In Brian’s book Goals! He has created a comprehensive guide to setting goals.
He leads you step by step through the process of sitting down and setting your goals and all the way to what you need to do to accomplish your goals.
It felt very repetitive
The problem with books by Brian Tracy is that they are all very much alike. This was no exception.
Many books in the industry say about the same things, just in different words.
What I didn’t like about goals! Was that it felt like I had read it before.
Most of the advice can be found in other books.
Who can it help?
The guide itself was very good and if you haven’t set your goals this book or read other books about personal development then this book will make a big difference in your life.
Like I have said many times on this blog, the act of setting goals and making plans for their accomplishment is the one action that will make the biggest difference in your life.
By setting your goals you are going to start pulling events into your life and make you move faster and faster towards your goals.
Easy to follow steps
What I did like about this book, and most Brian Tracy books, is how easy his advice is to follow.
This book is a 350 page guide going from step 1 to step 2 and so on.
If you haven’t read these types of books before you could really use this book as a manual and just follow the steps one after the other until you are finished.
My Recommendation
If you are new to self help and personal development books I think this book could really make a lasting impact on your life. If you haven’t set your goals and started working towards them in a structured manner, Brian can really give you some good advice.
On the other hand, if you have read other books in the industry and have taken these first steps I think this book would be a waste of your time, you have already read the advice and your time would probably be used better by reading other books.
Buy Through Amazon
I always use Amazon when buying my books, I think it is a great service and they keep the prices low.
The more you use them the more tailored Amazon will get, giving you advice on other books they think you would like.

Hey Gravestone,
Thanks for visiting, I am glad my article helped.
A friend of mine told me to check out your blog. This is exactly the kind of details I was digging for. I wish I have come across your blog sooner.
It makes me happy to hear it.
Thank your friend from me for passing it on and I hope to see you here again in the future.
Can I just say what a relief to find someone who actually knows what theyre talking about on the internet. You definitely know how to bring an issue to light and make it important. More people need to read this and understand this side of the story. I cant believe youre not more popular because you definitely have the gift.
I think those kind words might have been a little over the top, but thank you very much.
Come back soon and hopefully you will be as pleased with future articles.
I liked your article about goals brian tracy. I agree with your premise that it is important to set goals. The only problem
is that I have no clue about what goals to set. This book is about how we can get everything we want. But what is it that we truly want? Defining goals accurately is the problem.
~~Love gives us the fortitude to lighten the sorrow of others and ourselves. It soothes us like sweet cream and warms us into a gazing calm which makes us feel a sense of awe in the presence of something magical. Love helps us recognize the quiet grandeur or beauty of life. We notice the earth, the sky, a breathing, functioning planet, full-flowering gardens, and bending branches over silent walkways. ~~ C.J. Good
Hello CJ,
Thanks for leaving this great comment.
Goals are important, but just as you say, setting them takes time, effort and a clarity of yourself and your dreams.
I do feel that setting goals, just to get started, is more important than getting it 100% right the first time.
You will always have to change your goals as your life and your dreams change, but getting started towards something that might be your goal is better than not starting at all.
In the book Brian Tracy helps you find your true goals by a number of techniques and I myself am working on a series on how to set goals that should be publishable soon.
Thanks again for visiting.
